Ukrnafta starts drilling a new well at Verkhnyomaslovetske field

Ukrnafta PJSC started drilling an oil well at the Verkhnyomaslovetske field in the Skolivskiy district of the Lviv region, the press service reports. The design depth of appraisal directional well #103 is 1,630 m with a reach of 664 m. The maximum inclination is 37.11°.

The purpose of drilling is to recover Bystrytske and Lower Menilite deposits, core the well, obtain geophysical data, and perform wireline testing of the formations. The initial daily rate of the well will be 28.2 tons of oil.

The work is performed by Ukrnafta Drilling Division; the drilling rig is Uralmash 3D-76, with the involvement of contractor companies, including: Weatherford Ukraine for directional drilling services, Silur Plast - geological and technological research services, Schlumberger - bit and mud services, NewTech Ukraine - coring services.

The expected drilling term is 54 days. Recall that the previous well (#102) was drilled within the specified field in September 2019.
