Ukrnafta and Poltava Petroleum Company brought additional 1 million m3 of natgas to the Ukrainian GTS

The management of PJSC Ukrnafta and JV Poltava Petroleum Company (PPC) gave an upbeat assessment of the first results of companies’ cooperation in Novohryhorivskyi oil&gas field, as reported by press services of both companies on June 11, 2019.

According to the agreement, Ukrnafta supplies untreated gas from its Novohryhorivskyi oil&gas field (Poltava Region) to the PPC’s “Ihnativskyi”, gas and oil processing facility for onward preparation and supply to the gas transmission system of Ukraine. According to the agreement between PPC and Ukrnafta, this cooperastion will last until the end of 2019.

Since in this region Ukrnafta doesn’t have its own infrastructure for preparation and supply of gas to the nation’s gas transmission pipeline, the company started cooperation with PPC, who have the respective capacities. This is the first experience of providing such services by PPC and the first in-kind project for Ukrnafta.

As of June 1, 2019, after one month of cooperation, PPC prepared and supplied to Ukrnafta 895,781 m3 of natural gas.

“Novohryhorivskyi project is a brand new experience for us but we can already name the benefits it provides. It enables us to increase significantly gas production in Novohryhorivskyi field, as it opens access to the nearest gas preparation capacities and, thus, to the system of its transportation. Therefore, we can increase the volume of our commodity gas”, said Mr. Mavriky Kalugin, Member of the Executive Board, Executive Vice President for Upstream

Also, Mr. Viktor Gladun, General Director of JV PPC, commented on the project: “According to the results of work over the first month, PPC has pumped over nearly a million cubic meters of natgas. And this is an additional 1 million of natgas to the nation’s gas transmission system. I’m thankful to the PPC’s entire team for the great job done for implementation of this project, as well as to Ukrnafta’s team for innovative approach and readiness for the efficient cooperation. I hope we will continue to work together.”
