Ukrgasvydobuvannya Worried About Delay of Government Decision to Postpone Submission of Applications for PSA

The lack of a decision by the government to delay the submission of applications for PSA competitions threatens to disrupt them. It is published on Ukrgasvydobuvannya`s a Facebook page.

The UGV recalls that the deadline for submissions is November 4, however, according the international experience of conducting such competitions, it takes more time for participants to qualitatively prepare the package of documents.

The Ministry of Energy make advances of investors, and proposed to extend the deadline until February 4, 2020, but the Cabinet has not made the appropriate decision yet, notes UGV.

“The preparation this type of documentation requires careful approval within the company. Potential investors have planned this process, according to public statements from representatives of the Ministry of Energy. If the deadline is not published, there is a risk that there will be no application for participation in the competition, ”the statement of the largest gas company states.

It should be recalled, in August the Government announced 3 PSA contests on Grunivsk, Ichniansk and Okhtyrsk Areas. At the end of October, Roman Opimakh, executive director of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine (AGPU), announced that the Cabinet of Ministers extended the deadline for submitting applications for PSA tenders by 3 months, but there was no official government decision.
