Ukrgasvydobuvannya plans commercial development of North Yefremivske and Dobrenska areas

UGV plans to carry out pilot development with the further production of oil and gas in the North-Yefremivske and Dobrenska areas, which are in Kharkiv region, it is reported in the register of the EIA.

Within the planned activity in both areas, the exploration of hydrocarbon deposits, pilot and commercial development of the field for the purpose of geological and economic assessment and approval of the reserves with further extraction are envisaged.

In the course of development, it is planned to apply the method of depletion in the gas drive mode. The operations on the areas of subsoil will be carried out by Shebelynkagasvydobuvannya. In terms of oil and gas bearing potential, the North Yefremivske and Dobrenska areas belong to the Mashivsko-Shebelynskyi oil and gas district. Therefore, the main oilgas-bearing prospects of the area are related to the deposits of Middle Carboniferous. Recently, UGV also announced its intention to develop hydrocarbons in Sumy and Chernihiv regions (Opolonivska-1 and Kalyuzhna-1), and at the Kadobnyanske field in the Lviv region.
