Ukrgasvydobuvannya increased daily production at the Zakhidno-Sosnivske field by 163 tcm

Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV), part of the group of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, has increased the daily production from the existing wells at the Zakhidno-Sosnivske field by 163 thousand cubic meters. This is reported by the company’s press service.

Zakhidno-Sosnivske field in the Kharkiv region has been developed since 1969. “More than half of the initial gas reserves have already been produced from the field. To increase production from existing reservoirs at a depth of up to 4,000 m, a team of geologists and developers has composed and is implementing a plan for active field development with the drilling of additional production wells,” UGV noted.

It became possible to increase daily production in the field due to drilling new production wells #87 and #89 and after reaching the optimal operating mode.

Drilling was carried out by the drilling company Ukrburgaz. The work was carried out with the involvement of a modernized drilling rig of the NBO Uralmash. According to UGV, during drilling of well #87, it was possible to reach the target depth and run the production string twice faster than planned due to the new technical capabilities of the modernized rig.

Also, a team of geologists is implementing a project for additional exploration of new promising deposits at depths over 5,000 m at the Zakhidno-Sosnivske field.
