Ukrenergo's debt to the participants of the balancing market reached UAH 13 billion

The debt of NEC Ukrenergo to the participants of the balancing market as of June 11, 2021, was at UAH 13.055 billion, in turn, the parties responsible for the balance owe the NEC Ukrenergo UAH 8.451 billion, as posted on the website of the company.

According to the settlement administrator, the NEC Ukrenergo owes UAH 5.871 billion to the parties responsible for the balance sheet and UAH 7.184 billion to the balancing service providers (a total of UAH 13.055 billion).

As earlier reported by ExPro, a number of companies already filed lawsuits against the NEC Ukrenergo over the debts in the balancing market, in particular, the Kyivteploenergo, the United Energy LLC , and the DTEK Energo.

Representatives of the NEC Ukrenergo reported that one of the reasons for the formation of debt was the low payment discipline among consumers of the supplier of the last resort (SoLR).
