UGV increased the flow rate of the well from 5 to 121 thousand cubic meters due to successful hydraulic fractu
UGV commissioned a new well on the Shoseyna area in the Kharkiv region. Its daily flow rate after hydraulic fracturing (HF) increased more than 20 times and amounted to 121 thousand cubic meters of gas, the company’s press service reports.
«This is a new subsurface area with prospective resources of about 9 billion cubic meters of gas. We have conducted seismic surveys, determined the prospects and started drilling. Of course, one such area will not make a breakthrough in gas production on a national scale. However, working on dozens of such license areas gives a tangible result that allows us to maintain the achieved level of gas production. The high flow rate of this well confirms that investment in drilling even in depleted or small areas, combined with modern methods of intensification, can be economically feasible»,
commented Andriy Favorov, Director of Integrated gas business of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Service Oil, a subsidiary of Belorusneft, performed the HF.
