UGV drilled a new 6-km well with a 260 thousand-cubic-meters flow rate

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, has commissioned an ultra-deep, 6000-meter, well No.208 at the Berezivske field in the Kharkiv region. It will provide an increase in the proven natural gas reserves by over 350 million cubic meters. This is reported by the press service of Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV).

According to UGV, this is the second exploration well in the field that has shown a high result and provided an increase in proven reserves. The daily flow rate of the well is 260 thousand cubic meters of natural gas.

To prospect the promising horizons, the company carried out 3D seismic survey and adjusted the geological model of the Berezivske field. Well No.206 with a depth of 6,100 meters, which was commissioned in February this year, confirmed the productivity of the gas-bearing deposit on West Berezivske field.

Well No. 208 at a depth of 6,000 m, which was completed in May, is located on the Berezivske upthrust. The increase in proven reserves based on the results of this well drilling exceeds 350 million cubic meters of natural gas. The work was performed by the drilling crew of Ukrburgaz, which is part of the Technical Support division.

ODESA OFFSHORE CONFERENCE-2019 Ukraine has every chance to resume the work of the most promising oil and gas region, the Southern oil&gas fields. The untapped deposits of oil and gas are located both onshore and subsea. Four companies have already poised to conclude Production Sharing Agreements with Ukraine, whilst bidding for the Dolphin oil&gas fields on Black Sea shelf. The Odesa Offshore Conference (OOC2019) will serve as a venue for Ukrainian and international bidders to meet with local and international drilling, oilfield service and equipment manufacturers to kick-off emerging subsea and onshore projects in Ukraine.
