Transit of Russian natgas to EU over the last 5 months of 2019 increased by 7.8% As reported Ukrtransgaz, the national operator of the GTS, the transit of natgas from Russia through Ukraine to EU over the last 5 months increased by 7.8% , or aggregately to 37.6 billion cubic meters over the last 5 months of 2019.

The natgas was pumped through:

  • Orlivka exit point (Romania direction): 4.65 billion cubic meters, 43% less compared to the first 5 months of 2018;
  • Tekovo exit point (Romania direction): 227.5 million cubic meters, 57% less compared to the first 5 months of 2018;
  • Uzhgorod exit point (Slovakia direction) 24.25 billion cubic meters, 24% more compared to the first 5 months of 2018;
  • Berehove exit point (Hungary direction) : 5.52 billion cubic meters; 21% more compared to the first 5 months of 2018;
  • Drozdovychi exit point (Poland direction): 1.58 billion cubic meters, 19% less compared to the first 5 months of 2018; 
  • In Moldova direction, they pumped 1.36 billion cubic meters of natgas, which was 2.6% less compared to the first 5 months of 2018.

The average daily Ukrainian gas transit over the first 5 months of 2019 amounted to 248.82 million cubic meters, which was 7.4% more than in the same period of 2018.

As reported earlier by ExPro, gas transit in the first 4 months of 2019 increased to 29.2 billion cubic meters, the average daily natgas transit over the first 4 months of 2019 was 230.1 million cubic meters.
