TPP and CHP have to store 3 million tons of coal in warehouses by start of 2021-2022 national heating season

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has approved an updated schedule for the accumulation of coal in the warehouses of thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants, according to which a total of 3.046 million tons of coal should be accumulated by the start of 2021-2022 national heating season. ar, as of August 20, 2021, the total coal reserves in the warehouses of TPPs and CHPs are less than 1 million tons, in particular 911500 tons.

The corresponding accumulation schedule is published on the website of the Ministry of Energy.

"According to the new document, there should be 3046400 tons of coal stored in the warehouses of TPPs and CHPs by the start of 2021-2022 national heating season," the Ministry of Energy said in its press release.

According to the Ministry, the updated schedule of coal accumulation provides for an increase of more than twice the same figure in the previous schedule (1.409 million tons at the beginning of the heating period).

In particular, according to the updated schedule of the Ministry of Energy, in August 2021 a total of 1.7 million tons of coal should be accumulated, in September - 55% more - 2.7 million tons.

As of October 2021, 2.8 million tons of coal should be stored in the warehouses of TPPs, and 246400 tons in the warehouses of CHPs. At the same time, the largest coal stock from all stations should be at Zmiivska TPP of the PJSC Centrenergo - 340 000 tons in October 2021. As of August 17, 2021, the total coal stock at Zmiivska TPP numbered 72800 tons.
