The Black Sea shelf is the main region, due to which the main resources and reserves of Naftogas

Oleksandr Romanyuk, Director of the Naftogaz's Exploration and Production Division, spoke about the strategic directions of Naftogaz's gas development and production at the Odessa Offshore Conference 2021 (OOC2021) on September 23, 2021.

Ukraine, having a great potential on the Black Sea shelf, has not been able to attract large investors and partners to develop this region, although there was an opportunity 30 years ago.

He noted that the Black Sea shelf is the main region, due to which the main increase in the resources and reserves of Naftogaz is planned. Estimated resources amount to 300+ bcm.

Therefore, the company plans to work intensively in this direction shortly. First of all, the main forces are already focused on the seismic survey, to simplify the involvement of new partners in the active development of the specified region.
