Servant of the People fraction will consider Herman Halushchenko's candidacy for the Minister of Energy post

The parliamentary faction of the People's Servant party considered at its meeting last Thursday the candidacy of Vice President of NNEGC Energoatom Herman Halushchenko for the post of Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine, citing its own source in the Parliament of Ukraine.

"Herman Halushchenko is the most acceptable candidate: he knows all the problems in the electricity market. Without scandals and shocks, he would find a balance between the interests of market players and the state. He opposes the increase of tariffs for household consumers," the source said.

According to the news agency, another source from the faction said that Herman Halushchenko had not received an official invitation to the meeting of the Servants of the People faction.
