Sergiy Oleksiyenko has been appointed Head of Ukrtransgaz JSC
March 19, 2019, Kyiv - According to the decision of the shareholder №253, a member of the Board of Directors Sergiy Oleksiyenko was appointed Acting Chairman of Ukrtransgaz JSC effective March 19, 2019.
On May 3, 2018, Andriy Khomenko headed Ukrtransgaz. From March 21, 2019, he will head the newly established Technical Support Division of Naftogaz Ukraine, and is nominated as a Member of the new Board of Naftogaz Ukraine. Sergiy Oleksiyenko became a member of Ukrtransgas’ Board in March 2017. He was in charge of investments, finance management, accounting and auditing. Currently, the composition of the Executive Board of JSC Ukrtransgaz will include four top managers of the company: Sergiy Oleksiyenko, Pavel Stanchak, Tetyana Fedorova and Kan Khyunchan.
Sergiy Oleksiyenko was born in 1976. He graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Institute of International Relations, having specialized in International Relations and International Information. Before his appointment a Member of the Board of Ukrtransgaz, Sergiy Oleksiyenko worked as an Advisor to the Chairman of the Board and Commissioner for prospective projects of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. Prior to joining Naftogaz of Ukraine, he held a number of leadership positions in investment and banking. According to the Order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Sergiy Oleksiyenko combined duties of a Member of the Supervisory Board of JSC CB "Privatbank". In 2017, after the privatization of Privatbank, Sergiy Oleksiyenko became an object of a discrediting information campaign: materials were widely circulated media about his alleged transfer of funds abroad through an offshore company. Naftogaz of Ukraine immediately initiated an official investigation on possible abuse by Sergiy Oleksiyenko, then a member of the board of PJSC "Ukrtransgas". According to the results of the official investigation, the allegations made about were not confirmed.
