SE Market Operator published price caps for the day-ahead electricity market

SE Market Operator, which serves as a platform for bidding in intraday and day-ahead markets, in accordance with the NKREKP’s adopted regulations, released the price caps for electricity.

According to the company's announcement, the marginal prices will be as follows: for hours with a minimum consumption (from 00:00 until 08:00 and from 23:00 until 24:00) - UAH 959,12 / MWh; for hours with maximum consumption (from 08:00 until 23:00) – UAH 2048,23 / MWh.

According to ExPro, the first trading in the day-ahead market will take place few days prior to the launch of the new electricity market, June 30.

According to results of such trading session, players of the market will get price guidelines to compile quotes to their end-user customers of electricity.

As reported earlier by ExPro, on June 24, NKREKP introduced amendments to the day-ahead and intraday market rules, in which the regulator outlined the methodology for calculating the price caps for the said market segments, and ordered the Market Operator to calculate and publish such price caps by June 26. The price caps will apply during the first 9 months of the market.
