Power generators confirmed the readiness of energy the units to operate in isolated mode of the IPSU

The Ukrainian power generating confirmed the technical feasibility of using the required equipment during the operation of the the intergrated Power System of Ukraine in isolation, as part of the integration into ENTSO-E.

This was announced on September 16, 2021, by the press center of the Ministry of Energy, following a regular meeting of the Working Group to support the process of integration of the Integrated Power System of Ukraine into the energy systems of European Union’s ENTSO-E member states.

"Representatives of generating companies have confirmed the technical feasibility of their equipment during the isolated mode," the Ministry of Energy said.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the NEC Ukrenergo, the National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission (NEURC), generating companies, industry experts.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the lists of generating equipment of power plants prepared by the NEC Ukrenergo, which will or may be used during the operation of the Integrated Power System of Ukraine in isolated mode.

The meeting also discussed the dynamics of the synchronization process, the state of implementation of the developed solutions and key issues that need to be addressed to complete the integration of the Ukrainian and the European energy systems.
