On August 28-29, Ukrenergo applied an 806 MW RES generation curtailment

On August 28-29, 2021, the NEC Ukrenergo limited the generation of electricity from renewable sources by 806 MW, as such power plants increased electricity production during this period, and total consumption in the power system decreased.

This was reported in the weekly report of the system operator on the operation of the power system, which was published on August 30.

«To balance the power system, on August 28-29, dispatch teams were sent to unload RES in the Integrated Power System trade zone of Ukraine with a total value of up to 806 MW (all through the RES Restriction Management System): on August 28 from 11:18 to 14:47 with a total value of up to 404 MW; August 29 from 12:26 to 15:30 - up to 402 MW», it is said in the message.

ODESA OFFSHORE CONFERENCE-2019 Ukraine has every chance to resume the work of the most promising oil and gas region, the Southern oil&gas fields. The untapped deposits of oil and gas are located both onshore and subsea. Four companies have already poised to conclude Production Sharing Agreements with Ukraine, whilst bidding for the Dolphin oil&gas fields on Black Sea shelf. The Odesa Offshore Conference (OOC2019) will serve as a venue for Ukrainian and international bidders to meet with local and international drilling, oilfield service and equipment manufacturers to kick-off emerging subsea and onshore projects in Ukraine.
