NEURC Approved RAB-tariffs for 19 Electricity Distribution System Operators

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has approved the drafts regulations about setting RAB-tariffs for 19 electricity distribution system operators for 2021. The tariff envisages the 3% rate of return for operators’ “old” assets base and 16.74% for “new” assets which will be create from January 1, 2020.

The decision was made at the NEURC meeting on November 18, 2020. The regulator approved the drafts regulations for the following companies:

  • PJSC Volunoblenergo,
  • JSC DTEK Dnipro Grids,
  • JSC DTEK Donetsk Grids,
  • PJSC Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo,
  • PJSC DTEK Kyiv Grids,
  • PJSC DTEK Kyiv Region Grids,
  • PJSC Lvivoblenergo,
  • JSC Mykolaivoblenergo,
  • JSC DTEK Odesa Grids,
  • JSC Sumyoblenergo,
  • JSC Kharkivoblenergo,
  • JSC Khersonoblenergo,
  • JSC Khmelnytskoblenergo,
  • PJSC Cherkasyoblenergo,
  • JSC Chernivtsioblenergo,
  • JSC Chernigivoblenergo,
  • LLC DTEK Highvoltage Grids.

Notably, there were some questions on assessment of DTEK Dnipro Grids and DTEK Kyiv Grids assets created by January 2021, the commission will go into the problem at the further public hearings.

As ExPro agency informed earlier, the Member of the NEURC Olga Babiy forecast average 25% increasing electricity distribution tariffs in 2021 as a result of RAB model setting.
