Naftogaz plans to obtain UAH 11.5 billion profit in 2021
The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on December 23 approved the financial plan of Naftogaz NJSC for 2021, which provides for a net profit of over UAH 11 billion.
According to the financial plan, net income will amount to UAH 112 billion, net profit - UAH 11.5 billion. The expected payments to the state are UAH 58.1 billion.
"The government committee was passed with the decision to submit a draft order for consideration and decision-making at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the proposed version," Minister of Economy Ihor Petrashko said.
The explanatory note to the draft order notes that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Energy had comments that were partially considered. The draft was accepted without revision.
Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko did not support the draft order. His comments among other state that the expected profit of UAH 11.5 billion is not consistent with the indicators of Naftogaz for 9 months of 2020. During this period, the company received a loss of UAH 17 billion.
Marchenko also noted the need to review the planned revenues and expenditures, taking into account violations identified by the State Audit Service. Among other comments of the Minister are the volumes of gas production by the subsidiary of Naftogaz, Ukrgasvydobuvannya, determined in the plan. In the plan, they are set at the level of 13.3 bcm, but the Concept for the gas production industry development provides for the production of 21 bcm.
