Naftogaz launches Yablunivska BCS after its complete reconstruction
Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, part of the Naftogaz Group, has commissioned a booster compressor station in the Poltava region after a complete reconstruction, the press service of UGV reports.
Upgrade of the station will reduce wellhead pressures in the wells of the Yablunivske, Skorobahativske, and Komyshnyanske fields. It will additionally increase the efficiency of hydrocarbon recovery in these depleted fields. Due to the launch of the new facility, over 100 tcm of additional gas per day have already been received. According to experts' calculations, in 5 years the planned incremental sales gas production will reach 326.1 mcm, liquefied gas – 32.7 thousand tons, condensate – 13.5 thousand tons.
The upgraded Yablunivska compressor station is equipped with 2 Centaur 40 turbocharger units manufactured by Solar Turbines (USA). The design capacity of each unit is 3 mcm of gas per day.
The Yablunivske field has been under development since 1983 and is now considered depleted. During the development of the field, over 60 bcm of gas were extracted; the current reserves amount to 30% of the IGIP. Recall, that over the last 4 years, the company managed to move from production depletion to over 18%, or 210 mcm growth in the Yablunivske field.
