Naftogaz launches new well at Melykhivske field with a flow rate of 90 tcm

The Naftogaz Exploration and Production Division last week launched well #177 at Melykhivske field with a flow rate of 90 tcm per day, the press service reports.

According to the report, this is the third production well at the specified field, launched this year. Thus, the joint efforts of geologists, reservoir engineers and drillers in intensive drilling at the field allowed increasing daily production by over 200 tcm.

Well #177 was drilled by the internal drilling contractor Ukrburgaz using a modernized drilling rig. The received flow rate was 1.6 times higher than the expected results.

The company noted that over the next 2 years it plans to continue drilling production wells at the field. In particular, due to modern drilling equipment, new technologies and the skills of drilling teams, Ukrburgaz plans to actively drill the areas under rivers and settlements that were previously inaccessible.
