May 2019 Ukraine imported record volumes of natural gas - 1.54 billion cubic meters
In May 2019, Ukraine imported 1.54 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which was 36.5% or 413.65 million cubic meters, more than in the same period of 2018.
This was reported by Ukrtransgaz , the national GTS operator Ukrtransgaz.
The May 2019 import were channeled through Slovakia( 1.006 billion cubic meters, or 1.8% more than in May 2018), Hungary (406.68million cubic meters, or 11 times more than in May 2018), Poland (132.79 million cubic meters, or 1.85% less than in May 2018).
The average daily pumping rate included f Slovakia (32.46 million cubic meters,or 5% more than in May 2018), Hungary (13.12 million cubic meters, or 3 times more than in May 2018), Poland (4.28 million cubic meters, or 3.5 times more than in May 2018).
In January-May 2019, 3.97 billion cubic meters of natural gas were imported into Ukraine from Europe, which was 19% , or 0.63 billion cubic meters more than in the same period of 2018. The January-May 2017 natural gas imports into Ukraine were 5.68 billion cubic meters. In 2016, Ukrainian imports of natural gas for the first 5 months amounted to 2.98 billion cubic meters.

ODESA OFFSHORE CONFERENCE-2019
