In first 10 days of June the price of day-ahead electricity base load soared by 46 % - up to 1229.57 UAH/MWh

During the first 10 days of June 2021, in the Integrated Power System of Ukraine, the price of base load of day-ahead electricity increased by 46%. up to 1229.57 UAH/MWh ,or up by 32.2 % compared to May 2021. This was stated in the report of the SE Market Operator on the results of trades in day-ahead and intraday electricity.

At the same time, the weighted average price for day-ahead electricity in the first 10-day period of June 2021 was at 1339.27 UAH/MWh, which was by 34% more than in the similar period of May 2021 (998.07 UAH/MWh).

As for the intraday electricity, its weighted average price during the first 10-days of June, 2021, was by 38.3% higher than in the same period of May 2021 (864.05 UAH/MWh), and amounted up to 1194.99 UAH/MWh.

The total amount of day-ahead electricity during the first 10-day period of of June 2021, amounted to 781,609.9 MWh, which was by 7.31% higher the price of the similar period of May 2021. The volume of trades in intraday electricity decreased by 23.93%, down to 194,799.8 MWh.
