Horizons has completed the construction of well No. 15 of the Kolodnytske field

Horyzonty Drilling Company has completed the construction of well No. 15 of the Kolodnytske gas field with a depth of 2,700 m in 25 days, the company reports.

Drilling was carried out by a newly acquired drilling rig, which was previously operated by Weatherford and drilled for British Petroleum in Oman, with a load capacity of 340 tonnes, that is, it can drill a well up to 7,000m deep.

The specified drilling rig is equipped with a top drive system manufactured in Canada by Canrig, two 1,600 hp drilling pumps manufactured by Caterpillar, and a drilling mud cleaning system from M-I Swaco.

"Now the rig is being demobilized from the well site, and at the same time the next candidate wells are being selected for drilling with this particular rig," the drilling company noted.

According to the results of the first stage of testing, the well gave a commercial gas inflow, and the mode of its operation will be determined after the final stage of commissioning.
