Gas production in Ukraine over the last 5 months increased by 4.7% - to 8.91 billion cubic meters
Total gas production in Ukraine in January-May 2019 reached 8.91 billion cubic meters, which was 4.7% more than in the same period of 2018. This was evidenced by the data released by Ukrtransgaz , the national GTS operator.
In particular, according to Ukrgasvydobuvannya, the company increased its gas production in January-May 2019 by 2.4 percent compared to 2018, which produced 6.44 billion cubic meters. During May 2019 the company produced 1.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas from depleted wells. According to the estimates by DeGolyer, as of 01.01.2019, the total proved and expected gas reserves of Ukrgasvydobuvannya make up 264.2 billion cubic meters, but most of the natural gas fields of Ukrgasvydobuvannya have low formation pressures and high level of depletion.
As earlier reported by ExPro, gas production for Q1 2019 amounted to 5.27 billion cubic meters, which was 3.3% more than in Q1 2018.
