Energomerezha’s Activity Caused 1,5 Billion Hryvnyas Damages for SE Energorynok – NABU

The activity of private company Energomerezha involving in the criminal proceeding and being suspected in misappropriation of funds of a number of electricity suppliers’ clients and consequently State Enterprise Energorynok caused damages for the last company at 1,5 billion hryvnyas rate.

As ExPro correspondent is reporting, it was stated by the Head of the Main Detective Subdivision of the National Anticorruption Bureau Andriy Kaluzhynskyi at round-table discussion in the Parliamentary Anticorruption Committee on April, 11.

“The sum being investigated within the criminal proceeding and not received by Energorynok is over 1,5 billion hryvnyas”, said he.

The NABU representative added only 10% of the mentioned sum had been managed to return to Energorynok.

“The NABU initiated a claim for invalidation of the contracts under which Energorynok hadn’t got its money. All the claims were satisfied. So far all contracts have been declared invalid. The funds should be recovered in Energorynok’s favor. As of today about 150 million out of 1,5 billion hryvnyas were paid voluntarily”, added he.

Acoording to Kaluzhynskyi, one of the involving in Energomerezha case Dmytro Kryuchkov was charged with causing 800 million hryvnyas damages. He was arrested in Germany and in the nearest future, he is being extradited.

“In the short run we are expecting for his extradition from Germany… We will investigate this case further to bring in an indictment against him”, - noted Kaluzhynskyi.

As ExPro reported, Holding Company Energomerezha PJSC is suspected in the following actions: the company bought up the receivables of Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo, Kharkivoblenergo and other suppliers, didn’t return money to the suppliers, thus creating debts to Energorynok. Krychkov ruled Energomerezha. The NABU put him on the wanted list in June 2016. He was arrested in Germany in April 2018.
