Energoatom Sold Electricity to Naftogas for Export it from IPS of Ukraine
Energoatom Trading, the division of NNEC Energoatom, has sold 12 thousand MWh of base load electricity to Gas Supplying Company Naftogas of Ukraine exclusively for export this volume from the Integrated Power System of Ukraine to the neighboring countries (Belarus, Russia and Moldova).
It is reported on the website of the trading platform Ukrainian Energy Exchange on July 17, 2020.
The generator sold 12 thousand MWh at the average price UAH 948/MWh, the period of supply is July 22-31, 2020.
The buyer is the part of Natfogas of Ukraine, the biggest, state-owned oil and gas holding in Ukraine. Gas Supplying Company Naftogas of Ukraine should provide the cross-border capacity for export electricity by itself.
In accordance to the sources in the Ukrainian electricity market, recently Energoatom has been looking into the possibilities of base load supply to Lithuania in transit through Belarus. The nuclear company even took part in the auction for monthly cross-border capacity held by TSO Ukrenergo, but it did not buy any lots.
