Energoatom Sold Base Load 133 Thd MWh to Private Companies for 1203 -1273 UAH/MWh on UEEX

On April 1, SE NNEGC Energoatom sold to nine private companies 133 thousand MWh of base load electricity, with delivery in April at prices of UAH 1202.6-1273/MWh at the site of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange. This is stated in a message on the site of the exchange.

The company sold 24% of volume offered for sale – 133.056 thousand MWh, of which 29.184 thousand MWh was sold at an average price of UAH 1202.63/MWh, 24 thousand MWh - at 1273/MWh and 79.87 thousand MWh - for 1268.16 UAH/MWh. Sales prices decreased from the starting values by 17-22%.

Delivery period for three lots is April 5-12.

The following companies have become buyers of electricity: Kharkivenergozbut LLC, Energolayt Company LLC, DE Trading LLC, NEC LLC, Investment Management Agency, Interenergo Delivery LLC, Ukrenergoexport LLC, Energy Trade Group LLC, Energowest LLC.

As reported by ExPro agency, in the mid-February Energoatom limited 25% of the sale of the base load to the SE Guaranteed Buyer because of its debts. At the same time, according to the SE Market Operator, the share of Energoatom’s sales in the day ahead market in Integrated Power System of Ukraine increased to 41% in February, compared to 22% in January.

In addition, the generating company filed a lawsuit to recover 3 billion UAH of debt from Guaranteed Buyer. On March 30, Energoatom-Trading announced that in April, the volume of sales for Guaranteed Buyer would be reduced to 40% of output. A considerable part of the base load with delivery in April, Energoatom brought to the bilateral agreements market on the site of UEEX.
