Energoatom and Westinghouse sign memorandum on construction of 5 NPP units

The NNEGC Energoatom and the American engineering company Westinghouse signed a memorandum on the construction of 5 units using the technology of an American partner.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on August 31, 2021, during his visit to the United States.

"I welcome the signing of the memorandum between NNEGC Energoatom and Westinghouse Electric on the joint construction at the Khmelnytskyi NPP as a pilot project, and in the future - 4 more units based on their technology," the President wrote on his Twitter.

According to Zelensky, the total cost of the project is up to $ 30 billion.
