DTEK Naftogaz repaired the well with the help of Denimex snubbing unit
DTEK Naftogaz successfully repaired well No. 43 of the Semyrenkivske gas condensate field (GCF) with a depth of 5605 m without killing it using a Denimex hydraulic snubbing unit. This is reported by the press service of DTEK.
According to the report, as a result of the set of works, the well significantly increased its flow rate, and the use of snubbing allowed it to be operated during the entire repair period, which lasted 15.5 days.
In the course of works, gas lift tubing was pulled out of hole, then the perforating-explosive operations in the productive horizon conducted and new chrome-plated gas lift tubing was installed to increase the time between repairs of the well.
In addition, the press service said that the work was carried out with the involvement of the general contractor Denimex Workover Solutions using a modern 150-tonne snubbing unit RDE-340K and Weatherford Ukraine, which carried out perforation in the productive horizon.
Oleksiy Raptanov, Director of production and processing of hydrocarbons at DTEK Naftogaz, stressed: “Our company is actively implementing innovative technologies to improve the efficiency of field development. One of these is snubbing, which allows to minimize the impact of killing fluids on productive horizons and carry out work without killing the well. We plan to continue using snubbing, including for performing more complex technological operations.”
