DTEK Naftogaz drilled a new well at the Machukhske field with a flow rate of 300 tcm of gas

DTEK Naftogaz has completed drilling a well with a depth of 5,270 m at the Machukhske field and received a flow rate of 300 tcm per day, which has significant growth potential, the company's press service noted.

According to the report, the well was drilled under conditions of ultra-high reservoir pressures, but due to an integrated approach to all construction processes, it was built in 136 days, that is, 32 days earlier than the design period.

The drilling contractor was Service-Oil, a long-term deep-drilling partner of DTEK Naftogaz. Also, state-of-the-art technologies from leading Ukrainian and international service companies were involved, including Schlumberger RSS and a number of the latest Weatherford survey methods.

The company notes that a comprehensive engineering approach and innovative technologies made it possible not only to reduce the drilling time and get the project flow rate but also to confirm the prospects for further development of the Machukhske field.
