Day-ahead peak load on February 13-14 was for the first time cheaper the base and off-peak loads
The price of peak load on February 13-14, 2021 in the day-ahead electricity market in the integrates Power System of Ukraine were for the first time by 8%-15% cheaper of base and off-peak loads, with the latters priced at 1171.45 UAH/MWh and 1146.2 UAH/MWh, respectively.
Such data was published on the website of the SE Market Operator.
According to the Market Operator, on February 13, 2021, in the Integrated Power System of Ukraine, the off-peak loads were priced at 1352.94 UAH/MWh, with the base loads at 1262.19 UAH/MWh.
Thus, the peak load index was cheaper than other types of loads by 13.5% and 8%. The weighted average price of that day was - 1282.17 UAH/MWh.
On February 14, 2021, the price for off-peak loads was at 1354.63 UAH/MWh, and base loads were priced at 1250.41 UAH/MWh, i.e. on that day peak load was cheaper than other types of load by 15.5% and 8.4%, respectively, with the weighted average price of that day at 1265.39 UAH/MWh.
The subsequent day, on February 15, 2021, the price index of peak load amounted to 2048.23 UAH/MWh, thus exceeding the base and the off-peak loads by 14% and 27.5%, respectively.
