Commission for selection of NEURC Commissioners announced a competition

The Competition Commission for the selection of candidates for positions of Commissioners of the National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission (NEURC) announced a competition open.

The corresponding decision was made by the Commission headed by MP Alexey Ryabchin on March 31, 2021.

“A competition for the 1st position of a Commissioner of NEURC has been announced. Incumbents wishing to take part in the competition should submit documents determined in the appropriate manner… from April 1 until May 17, 2021, inclusive, " said the Secretary of the Competition Commission Svetlana Golikova.

There were 3 out of 4 members of the competition commission voting for the announcement of the new competition.

As previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by its protocol decision at the meeting of October 28, 2020, rejected candidacies of Ruslan Mashlyakovsky, an ex-Commissioner of NEURC, and Konstantin Ushchapovsky, ex-head of NEC Ukrenergo, as proposed by the Competition Commission to become Commissioners at the NEURC.
