CMU pushed Draft Law on an excise tax on "green" electricity

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) submitted to the Parliament of Ukraine its Draft Law № 5600 dated June 2, 2021, which proposes to make a number of amendments to the Tax Code, in particular to exclude electricity from RES from the group of goods to which excise duty did not apply, and thus to impose a tax of 3.2 % on “green” electricity.

The Draft Law № 5600 has been published on the website of the Parliament of Ukraine.
