CMU canceled the privatization of state-owned oblenergos and transferred them to the Ministry of Energy

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) canceled the privatization of state-owned distribution companies, and transferred them to the Ministry of Energy, in pursuance of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of July 30, 2021 "On Measures to Counter Threats in Energy Sector."

The corresponding order was voted on with a three-day revision at the CMU’s weekly meeting on September 15, 2021.

According to the order, the CMUrs stopped the process of privatization of state-owned stakes in the OJSC Ternopiloblenergo, the PJSC Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo, the JSC Kharkivoblenergo, the JSC Mykolaivoblenergo, the JSC Khmelnytskoblenerho, the PJSC Cherkasyoblenergo, and the JSC Sumyoblenergo.
