Bangaz will build a new underground gas and oil storage facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk region
Oil and Gas company Bangaz plans to create underground oil and gas storage facilities in depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs (in old fields, the development of which was carried out in Soviet times) in the Western oil and gas province, i.e. Ivano-Frankivsk region using spacer volumes of neutral gases released during natural decay using facilities for processing and disposal of radioactive waste. This is reported in the EIA register.
A technical alternative to this activity is the creation of oil and gas storage facilities in high-pressure aquifers on the example of gas storage facilities of the state enterprise Kyivtransgaz.
During the reporting period, the use of depleted oil reservoirs according to the generally accepted scheme will allow storing up to 250 thousand tons of oil in winter with neutral spacer volumes. Storage of natural gas within the depleted layers of the fields located within the localities of Vorokhta, Piga, Tatariv at volume of up to 8 billion cubic meters, which corresponds to the analogous gas storage facilities of Bogorodchany, Uhersk, etc.
As the company Bangaz informed ExPro, it was at their initiative that SSGS nominated for the electronic trading the following petroleum licenses: Liubizhnyansko-Meryshorska, Pivdenno-Svyvkynska, Skhidno-Kosmatska, Liuchivsjo-Berezivska, for which on 6 July an online auction will take place. Therefore, the company plans to participate in auctions for these areas.
